Exponent

[ek-SPOH-nuhnt ]  •  noun

1. A symbol written above and to the right of a mathematical expression to indicate the operation of raising to a power; one that expounds or interprets; one that champions, practices, or exemplifies.

The “A” in altro is stylized to represent upward movement.

The exponent is what we call the Altro “Ticker” which represents accumulating wealth and raising your score to build financial power.

A Letter to Our Community

ALTRO has been acquired.

What started as two students at USC asking, “What if subscriptions or rent could build credit?” turned into a seven-year journey that changed our lives. We dropped out, signed our first customers to report their rent, and built ALTRO into a nationally recognized, tri-bureau credit product, helping people across the country take control of their financial futures.

From nights in our hacker house, to moments when the bank account was nearly empty, to the thrill of seeing someone reach an 850^ credit score through ALTRO, this has been the ride of a lifetime. To our first customers, our incredible team, and the partners and investors who believed in us, thank you.

This chapter is closing, but the next one is already calling, and we can’t wait to share what’s ahead.
